Community Bible Study

Join the celebration by sharing your CBS story and supporting the next 50 years of ministry.
We will be studying the books of Genesis and Colossians in our 2026-27 session.
Our first day of class will be Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
When you join our CBS group, you will participate in a local and global
movement of God's transformative Word and community. Together, we
learn more about who God is, and as we grow in our relationship with Him
and each other, He changes us from the inside out.
Women of all ages and all backgrounds as well as levels of bible knowledge
are welcome to join our class.
Each class member receives a course book and/or online access to home
study questions and commentaries. You will participate in weekly small
group discussions and enjoy our class' teaching. You will also enjoy occasional fellowship brunches focused on sharing and relationship building within your core group.
We are not currently able to offer a Primary Core class (1st grade - 10 years old). If you would like to be contacted in the event a Primary Core opens up, please contact Tina Hoffer at 616-255-5798.
There will be a Preschool class available for children age 2 - Kindergarten.
Nursery for newborns - 2 year olds will also be provided.

Although Genesis is an ancient book, it speaks to some of the biggest questions we have today: Is there a God? If so, what is He like? Why is there evil in the world? Why are we here, and where can we find purpose and hope? In this course, which covers the first 22 chapters of Genesis, participants will see that God created a beautiful world and gave people a noble calling in His creation. It explains how our world was fractured by human rebellion and presents the beginnings of God’s plan to put everything back together.
Colossians is a letter written to combat error in the church. Paul pointed the believers at Colossae to Jesus as the Head of His body, the church. Paul also told the Colossian believers that they had fullness in Christ. The questions in this course are thought provoking and challenging.

Next Gen Ministry
Children, ages newborn through kindergarten students, are invited to come to our CBS class. Below are the groups available for these children: Nursery available for our littlest members. Pre-School class available for children 2 years - Kindergarten. This class teaches stories from the Old and New Testaments through creative storytelling, interest centers, memory verses, music, snacks, games and activities.
